- Why Artificial Turf
The practical choice for cleaner, stronger, and longer-lasting lawns.
Artificial grass doesn’t require typical upkeep such as watering, weeding, fertilizing, or mowing, it is a low maintenance and cost effective alternative to real grass.
Synthetic grass is also durable and will last much longer than real grass. Made with high-quality materials like polyethylene for resilience, it can withstand the test of time even when used for high impact sports, pet turf, play areas, golf greens, and extreme weather conditions.
Not only is synthetic grass long-lasting and maintenance-free, it is also completely non-toxic, and free of pesticides and harmful chemicals required to maintain a natural lawn. This makes artificial turf products the ideal choice for playground grass, athletic fields, and pet areas.

How to install Artificial Turf
Installing turf is a great way to improve your home’s appearance and increase property value. Artificial grass will reduce maintenance, saving homeowners time and money. Here is a DIY guide on how to install artificial turf for any grass lawn.
Turf Preparation
Roll the turf out over a clean, flat surface making sure all the synthetic grass blades face the same direction. Let the artificial turf sit in the sun for a few hours so the fibers can relax.
Turf Cutting
Mark the back of the turf where you intend to cut it. Use a carpet or razor knife to trim the turf roll and carefully match the edges and borders.
Turf Seaming
Mark the seam lines with chalk. Cut both edges of the turf rolls close to the second tuft row, place the seaming tape underneath, and apply adhesive before joining the sections together.
Base Preparation
Ensure the ground beneath the turf is compacted and leveled properly. A stable base helps prevent movement and improves the durability of the installation.
Perimeter
Secure the edges using galvanized sod staples or 6” galvanized nails every 6”–10” around the perimeter.
Infill
Apply crumb rubber infill evenly across the turf surface, spreading it layer by layer until the desired level is reached.

How to care for artificial grass
If you are lucky enough to have an artificial lawn, you’ll want to make sure that it stays looking like new turf for years to come.
Here are a few simple tips on how to maintain your green turf:
- Sweep or brush the surface of the artificial turf and infill to remove any unwanted dirt or fallen leaves every 3 months or so,
- Regularly pick up any pet waste or unwanted debris, especially for pet turf.
- Lightly hose down messy, faded, or worn areas with water to prevent odor and debris build up.
- If the turf should ever look either fade or worn, use a garden hose with moderate pressure to give it a good clean.
- For stubborn spots that won’t come out with a quick rinse, use laundry detergent and scrub lightly to clean the area.
- If you notice any holes or tears in the turf area, you can repair them with a patching kit.
